Visits from Friends! (well, friend...)

Pat came for a visit! This is one of my favorite pictures so far--and who knew he was such an introspective, good-looking guy? Well, everybody, probably. Here he is, on Westminster Bridge, in front of Westminster Palace, better known as the Houses of Parliament, on a beautiful day!

Pat and I (Trev) went for an adventure around London one day while Anna was otherwise occupied. We walked all over central London, saw the National Gallery, grabbed some coffee, and walked all the way up, and back down, from my campus before meeting up for a drink with Anna and our friend Ian at the good 'ol Cardinal. Love that Cardinal, but more importantly, we stumbled across The Salisbury...a curious coincidence if ever there was one...

In our wanderings, this was perhaps the funniest thing ever, in St. James park, right near our place. This squirrel, about a foot away from us, leapt onto the fence and began an ultimate stare-down. Thankfully, we had no money or food, or we would have been parted from both.

Of course, we went out with people, and here are three of my favorite at the Cardinal--where else? Pat, Anna (obviously in her element), and Sam Walker--Kit's friend who fufills the role of a sassy little R2D2 in this epic comedy of errors.
So, the adventures continue. Pat stayed with us a week before heading off to his PBI placement in Nepal. It was great to have a friend visit us, and bring a little bit of La Crosse across the pond to us!
